Courtney desired a formal dining table, saturated colors, and antique floors while elements like a big steel door were important to Ben. Blair’s clients love to entertain. She worked to make the spaces family and guest-friendly where no room was off limits. But they also wanted spaces that were pretty and felt formal.

The living room, for instance, is the main access point to the backyard. However, it can be seen from the front door. Fabrics needed to be both durable and style-forward. The sofas and Coggin chairs are upholstered in kid-friendly velvets that are nearly indestructible, and Blair’s team installed a hard-wearing patterned wool rug as opposed to a sisal.
